Stories of the Land and Waters

Every so often to my delight I am contacted about a commission for creating a story for a place, event, celebration or some other wonderful collaboration. You can well imagine my excitement to create a bespoke story listening to the land, waters, creatures and trees of a place or perhaps a finding a golden story thread from the past that would like to be woven into a new story birthed now as we are all part of the great tapestry of life. Or perhaps a story to weave into your Handfasting Day or launch of a new enterprise. Whatever the project my excitement rises at the prospect of listening, and then creating in my magic cauldron a new story just for you.

Recent Commissions include:

IMPLOSION - A Commission to create 3 separate immersive events over the 8 days of the exhibition in situ in Fishguard as well as a co-creation on the final evening with Marilyn Collins, Maggie Nichols, Claire Turner,
Jo Shapland and Sonia Sophia of music sound, natural voice and speaking narrative over the films created for the week long exhibition...

THE LIGHT IS IN THE WATER - A Poetry and Song immersive creative experience in the Gallery - 11 August

HONOURING THE WATERS OF THE WORLD - A ceremony and honouring of our personal stories and connection to water with Songstress and Musician Vaishnavi Brassey

THE SONG OF THE WHALE - Group Immersion in sound of the humpback whales and footage of whales in the ocean creating a touchstone to memory and the Songlines we also bring through when we listen to the sounds of the Male Humpback Whale. This exchange is then filmed and recorded to be added to the week long creations about connection to water

PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL - To create 5 immersive experiences with story, song and music during July 2026 as part of their READ TO THE BEAT project. Created by Caravan of Storytellers

BAKERS@70 ART GALLERY - A Commission to create an evening of Story and Song as part of the FRUIT LOOP Gallery Exhibition

NEWPORT MUSIC SOCIETY - The commission will have its first birthing in the the Autumn of 2025 and is a collaboration with two wonderful local musicians Daniel Davies and David Pepper 'A Bird In My Heart'.

VEGOUTWEST - This commission is for a Festival in the Summer of 2025 at Scolton Manor, Pembrokeshire to run an interactive Storytelling Workshop for families around herbs and healing plants

A story for our times of the Goddess Rhiannon Guardian of the Preseli's with Musicians at Dyffren Fernant Gardens (Dinas)

Creating a Story with Families about a very special Dragon with Mams Cariad (Saundersfoot)

Collaborating on Workshops and creating a Story Walk with Puppets about Healing Herbs and Plants at The Forest Garden for a Summer Festival (Cardigan)

Creating A Wellbeing Day for Women around sharing TEA and the Japanese art of Kintsugi (Narberth Museum)
